Intermediate Macroeconomics - old notes
These are lecture notes by Sofia Vale and me. They were written in Portuguese quite some time ago and were used to teach undergraduate courses in intermediate macroeconomics at ISCTE-IUL for many years.
All these chapters were written quite a long time ago. We followed the old approach of explaining macro relationships with variables expressed in terms of levels instead of using rates of change. Over time, we became highly dissatisfied with our initial approach. These notes need to be entirely rewritten for them to make any sense according to the development of modern macroeconomics over the last twenty years.
Two chapters (“12. Macroeconomic Equilibrium” and “13. Economic Policy”) are in a poor state of development, and for that reason, they are not displayed here.
